Fieldwork took place from October 2024 to February 2025, primarily through face-to-face interviews. This wave includes 5,602 respondents, with a 56% retention rate (1,998 males and 3,604 females). The dataset can be accessed from the GGP Data Portal.
A total of 7,767 respondents (3,523 males and 4,244 females) took part in this first wave. Taiwan joins the GGS for the first time, broadening the global scope of the survey and extending its coverage into Asia. The dataset can be accessed in the GGP Data Portal.
A minor update has been released for GGS-II Wave 1 Croatia, correcting for mistakenly attributed missing values in the variables fer07_1-fer07_10. This is version 1.1 in the GGP Data Portal.
A major update has been released for GGS-II Wave 1 Moldova. Higher education values (“Master” and “Doctorate”) in variables dem07, dem25, gen49, and gen51 were mistakenly recoded as missing, and the weights have been recalculated to align with the current GGS-II standard for cross-country comparability. This is version 3.0 in the GGP Data Portal.
