The ODISSEI Conference was held on the 4th of December 2024 and brought together social scientists to explore innovations in data collection and methodology. Anne Gauthier and Julia Rokos from the GGP presented in a session with leading experts of major European data infrastructures like SHARE and ESS to discuss the future of social surveys. A key theme was the transition to mixed-mode and push-to-web methodologies, reflecting the growing need for flexible and inclusive survey designs.
Beyond this, sessions on administrative data, survey methodology, and computational advancements underscored the growing role of digital and interdisciplinary approaches in social science. The GGP is particularly excited to explore the potential of incorporating data donation and other innovations into its research, following the inspiring discussions at the conference.
