On September 26, 2024, the Generations and Gender Programme Board of Governmental Representatives (GGP-BGR) convened for its fourth meeting in The Hague, hosted in a hybrid format. The meeting saw the participation of 35 representatives, both in-person and online, from 14 countries across the European Union and European Economic Area.
The meeting focused on strategic discussions regarding the GGP’s path towards becoming a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC).
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to discussions on the GGP-ERIC statutes, financial documents, and scientific and technical descriptions alongside a presentation on the impact of the GGP in Austria, Croatia, the Netherlands, and the UK.
The meeting wrapped up with a forward-looking perspective, emphasising the role of GGP in future demographic research across member states. The GGP will continue to strengthen international cooperation and provide a valuable platform for cross-country collaboration in demographic research.
