The SoGreen project launched in Brussels on 19–20 February 2025, uniting SHARE, ESS, GGP, and GUIDE to study the social impacts of Europe’s green transition.

The SoGreen project, funded by the European Commission, officially had its kick-off meeting in Brussels on 19-20 February 2025. Bringing together four European research infrastructures—SHARE, ESS, GGP, and GUIDE— SoGreen aims to explore how the green transition affects different generations and socioeconomic groups across Europe

At the kickoff event, representatives from all infrastructures gathered to discuss the project's objectives and roadmap for the next three years. The GGP team, responsible for developing a dedicated SoGreen module to be fielded across all four infrastructures, played a key role in shaping the discussions. This module will provide crucial data to better understand the social consequences of the green transition, incorporating both a gender and life-course perspective.

The event marked an important first step in fostering collaboration and ensuring that SoGreen delivers meaningful contributions to policy and research on Europe's path toward sustainability. Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses!
