Миграционное поведение молодежи современного белорусского села: социологический анализ

The article presents an analysis of the migratory behavior of the youth of the modern Belarusian village. The purpose of this work is to study the migratory behavior of the rural youth, to establish the reasons for their displacement into cities, to determine the ways that make the youth attached to the village. The introduction justified the need for a sociological study of the migratory behavior of the rural youth of the Republic of Belarus. The main part represents a secondary analysis of long-term sociological studies of the migration attitude of the rural youth, the analysis of statistics, the results of the study “Generations and Gender” conducted by the Center of Sociological and Political studies of BSU in 2017, the results of in-depth interviews with young specialists working in rural settlements of the Myadzel district of Minsk region; priority areas for internal migration of the rural youth based on the analysis of empirical research have been identified; it has been studied how satisfied the youth is with the conditions and the wage in the village, accommodation, the accessibility and the quality of educational, medical, commercial, tourism, banking, domestic services, the possibility of cultural leisure; the nuptiality of the youth in rural settlements has been analysed; the educational structure of the marriage partners of the rural youth is represented; difficulties in choosing a marriage partner in the village the youth face have been identified; life satisfaction of the rural youth as a whole has been studied. The main reasons for the migration of the youth from the village to the cities (higher wages in the village than in the city; more comfortable living conditions; a wide range of potential marriage partners) are summarized in the conclusion, the factors contributing to the attachment of the youth to the modern Belarusian village (living in an agricultural town with a developed social infrastructure, the ability to quickly get comfortable affordable accommodation, the accessibility of educational, medical and trade services) are identified.
