The data collection started in September 2026 and will run until the end of November 2026. Around 10,000 randomly selected residents aged 18–59 will be invited to participate, either by completing the questionnaire online or through a face-to-face interview. The Lithuanian GGS is implemented by a consortium of Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, State Data Agency, and STRATA.
Respondents will be approached again in 2029 for wave 2.
