While Iceland has extensive register data, the infrastructure for fertility research has remained relatively underdeveloped. Iceland’s participation in the latest round of the GGS marks an important step toward strengthening the empirical foundation for future research on fertility and family dynamics.
The presentation also provides insights into the survey process, sharing reflections on survey implementation, fieldwork operations, and lessons learned from carrying out the study in Iceland.
