GGP-PL Data Launch: First Results Presented in Warsaw
On 23 September 2026, SGH Warsaw School of Economics hosted the GGP-PL Data Launch.
The hybrid event brought together representatives of government institutions, academia and NGOs. The programme included an overview of the Polish GGP study, an invited talk by Ewa Cukrowska-Torzewska, as well as short presentations by GGP-PL team members on parenthood, partnerships and fathers’ involvement in childcare.
The Data Launch also marked the publication of the GGP-PL report, Rodzina, relacje i warunki życia w Polsce (Family, Relationships and Living Conditions in Poland), presenting the first findings from Wave 1 of the Polish GGS-II. The event concluded with a poster session showcasing selected findings from the report.
The report is available in Polish on Zenodo: https://zenodo.org/records/22765104. An English version will follow.
SGH Summer School: Statistical Workshops on the Life Course
The day after the GGP-PL Data Launch, SGH hosted a Summer School devoted to the statistical analysis of family life courses.
The hands-on programme was based on newly collected GGS-PL data and focused on two key approaches in life-course research: sequence analysis and event history analysis. Participants used these methods to study major life-course transitions, including leaving the parental home, partnership formation and entry into parenthood.
The programme also introduced SHARE data, highlighting how the two research infrastructures can complement each other in analyses of life-course processes.
