The aim of the workshop was to bring together people from academia and non-academia to reflect on (1) the need for GGP data to better understand demographic challenges, and (2) the obstacles/ opportunities to increase the participation of Southern and South-Eastern Europe in the GGP. A total of 11 countries were represented. This includes Greece, Slovenia and Turkey which are currently not participating in the GGP. The symposium was especially useful in providing information as to the latest GGP developments, but also to explain how the Central Hub collaborates with countries.
